MEET THE COUNSELOR

Hi, I'm Joel.

If you're looking at my website, chances are you're facing a difficult situation that you want to change. By beginning to look for help you're taking the first step on what could be the road to the change you're looking for.

I've been on both sides of the counseling room, and I know that finding a counselor can be a difficult and unnerving process. But you know, one of the greatest factors in whether counseling is successful or not is simply if there is a good fit between counselor and client. That's the reason I'm offering a free consultation session, with no obligation to continue. If it's not a good fit, that's alright. And I'll do my best to help you find another counselor who is. I want you to get the help that you need.

As far as who I am – I'm someone who loves helping people. I knew I wanted to be a counselor since I was a teenager. I strive to listen well, care well, ask good questions, and offer new insight. And when doing so helps someone make it through a struggle they didn't think they could overcome, or helps a couple connect and communicate instead of missing each other... well, in those moments I know I'm doing what I was made to do.
